Dicliptera suberecta
This still quite unknown plant originally originated in Uruguay and is one of the favourite plants of the hummingbirds. But also as an ornamental plant it is ideally suited, the Orange red ca. 4cm long flowers stand in a beautiful contrast to the silvery hairy leaves. The flowering period ranges from early summer to autumn.
Frost-Tolerant is Dicliptera suberecta (syn. Jacobina suberecta) up to approx.-7 degrees.
In the garden The plant reaches a height of up to 60 cm and a width of about 1 m.
