This plant that was brought from South Africa (4 plants), and its popular chilis are used primarily for marketing by the Peppadew (TM) brand.
The taste is fresh and sweet and spicy. This chili pickled is something really special. if you are interested we can send you the recipe or you can just do an internet search.
Unfortunately, these small plants are not that productive, but they taste really special, a great variety.

Ich habe zum zweiten mal 20 Samen bestellt. Die Lieferung kam per Briefpost (kein lästiges abholen bei der Post oder Packstation). 22 Samen waren in der Packung und nach 12 Tagen Quellen in Quelltablette (Kokossubstrat) sind 18 Pflanzen schon in Anzuchterde und drei weitere Keimlinge werden wohl morgen folgen. Letztes Jahr hatte ich eine Ernte mit sehr interressantem Aroma ( Zumindest solaange das Wetter noch mitspielte. In den ersten 2 zehntel Sekunden merkt man, das schmeckt nicht nach Capsicum annuum. Danach blockiert schmerz die Nervenbahnen. Piquante gehören bei mir zum festen Repertoi. Habe extra einen Schrebergarten angemietet um mehr anbauen zu können.
