Winter Savory seeds (Satureja Montana)

Unlike summer savory, winter savory is an evergreen shrub that reaches a height of about 50 cm in the garden.

It is often sold as an ornamental plant for its beautiful purple flowers that attract many pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Mainly used as a spice and the flavor is much more intense than summer savory and the strong peppery flavor is what makes it suitable for stews, baked meats, lamb and game.

In folk medicine it is appreciated for its properties to improve digestion.
