Baby sage, Graham's sage, Blackcurrant sage (Salvia microphylla)
This beautiful scented sage is created for the garden, it blooms from spring to autumn and exudes an impressive fragrance of currants. The flowers are visited by butterflies. Plants reach a height of 1 m already in the first year, so give it some space. A sturdy shrub is obtained by regular back cuts. Originally from the mountains of Mexico.
The edible flowers are certainly interesting for the gastronomy. A tea is produced from the leaves in Mexico and is also commercially grown there.
