Soursop is an evergreen tree native to the Amazon. Its large and heavy fruit (up to 3 Kg) with an acidic taste (hence its English name Soursop) is used in South America in soft drinks, ice cream or jam.
In the Caribbean Islands fermented leaves are used as tea.
The leaves and fruit have very important medicinal properties especially in South America. These have been recently confirmed in 2011 with the results of published research. Graviola produces an inhibition in growth of a number of different cancers.
Note: Please be sure to keep these seeds out of the reach of children since the level of anonacina a neurotoxin makes them toxic.
