Wild Thyme also known , Mother-of-thyme or creeping thyme is a low evergreen herb which forms a sub shrub and is very suitable for the herb garden for its hardiness. Its showy pink flowers make it very attractive to bees. Wild thyme can spread like a carpet so is one of the best ground covers. No problems with insects or pests that we know of .

Soil: Dry and preferably sandy.

In the Kitchen: It can be used as a seasoning just like common thyme, Thymus vulgaris.

In folk medicine: Thymus serpyllum is considered a very good remedy for upper respiratory tract conditions
