Shiso green (Perilla frutescens) plant

Shiso stretches from the Himalayas to Japan, but is a plant used in traditional Japanese and Korean (the seeds of the green sisho can be used as seasoning) and it is also an important medicinal plant in TMC (traditional Chinese medicine) where it is called "Zi Su".

Sisho is used for coughs and asthma problems, it strengthens the immune system and is very rich in antioxidants. Both green and purple sisho are attractive ornamental plants in the garden, so they are worth cultivating in any case. They are annuals, but their seed production is high and we will have plants for the following years.
