Green Asparagus seeds "Mary Washington" (Asparagus officinalis)

The best time to sow asparagus seeds is between February and March. After a year the rhizome can be transplanted (40 cm distance between plants and 1.5 m between rows), and then in the second year you can pick asparagus. The plant can be harvested for up to 10 years. Green asparagus is more robust than other varieties and resists high temperatures and hard soils.
