Black Mulberry (Morus nigra)
The black mulberry is native to western Asia and was introduced to southern Europe by the year 1500. The common point with Blanca Morera is its sensitivity to frost.
In June or July its tasty and sweet red / black fruits with which you can prepare jam appear. The fruits can also be used to prepare a wine and are also used to color the wine (with its tannins). The dried leaves are infused effective against diabetes mellitus.
