Black-eyed Susan, Coneflower, 'Gloriosa Daisy "(Rudbeckia hirta)

This beautiful shrub native to Northern America is from the same family as Echinacea Purpurea. In fact, its roots (the other parts are not used) were used by the Indians in the same way as Echinacea. A poultice of the root relieves painful inflammation in general and snake bites in particular. Its infusion was used for colds and intestinal worms. The fresh juice of the root can also be used for earache. Outdoors the plant reaches a height of about 80 cm and blooms from summer to fall. For abundant flowering regular watering is important.
