Originally from North America, the root of this plant was used by the American Indians for food and as a stimulant and a diuretic (and is still used for urinary problems) Its flowering period is from June to September and it is a good for bees and it is also nice as cut flowers. Needs little care or requirements with respect to the substrate, it is a winter hardy plant.
