"Lemon" Catnip seeds (Nepeta cataria citriodora)

This variety of Nepeta Cataria has the same qualities as normal but is distinguished by its pleasant lemon scent. The "citriodora" also contains the active substance "Nepetalacton" which has a stimulating effect for cats (although 30% of cats do not react to this substance). This substance is also responsible for the plant being a good insect repellent.

As infusion this variety of Nepeta is more suitable for its agreeable lemon flavor. It is also effective for fevers, is a diuretic and regulates menstruation (but its use is not recommended during pregnancy). In the garden, the plant reaches a height of about 80cm. and blooms from June to September with beautiful blue flowers that are very attractive to bees.
