Yellow Canary melon, honey melon seeds (Cucumis melo)

Often this yellow canary melon is called honey melon. The fruit tastes better if harvested ripe. Often in supermarkets they offer the melons green, although they can ripen at home without any problem. In the western Mediterranean area this sweet melon is consumed with ham (Parma or Serrano) and is a popular entree.

The fruit can reach a weight of 1.5 to 2.5 kgs.
