Verbena is a beautiful plant for the market gardener , witch or aromatic gardener. Verbena officinalis blooms from June to October with a slightly bitter perfume. Its uses range from the perfume industry to the preparation of infusions.

In folk medicine it is known as a tonic, anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic.

To the Celts Vervain was considered to be sacred and in the Middle Ages this herb was used in exorcism ceremonies.
