Coriander Plant (Coriandrum Sativum)

Coriander is also called Arab parsley or Chinese parsley. The young leaves shown in the picture which are fanlike clearly differ from the more grown(more feathery). It is an annual plant, with flowering period is from June to August. Originally cilantro probably comes from the Mediterranean area, though it is a condiment especially used in Asian cuisine (particularlmente in India). The plant can also be used as fodder for bees.
