Clary sage seeds (Salvia viridis)
This type of salvia is unique for the special appearance of its pink, purple and blue bracts. The flowers are much smaller and almost go unnoticed. The dry bracts with darker nerves often retain their color and are suitable for dry flower arrangements.
Uses:
The leaves and seeds of Salvia viridis have been and are used to add flavor liquor also dried as snuff.
Medicinal : an infusion of the leaves is recommended for inflammation of the mouth and throat.
Salvia viridis is also a good pasture for bees.
